how it should be installed.

   12. Select the appropriate drive letter where new files are located
   13. Repeat for each adapter in the system

If installing the adapter as part of a Windows installation :

    1. Boot the system from the Windows CD, or from the boot floppies made
        from the Windows CD.

dialog comes up, change to A: and press OK.

UISCfg Utility

The configuration utility is contained in I2OCFG.OCX. This program manages and
displays HTML files that are generated by the adapter. The I2OCFG.HTM file
provides the interface to the user.

To execute the utility, select the START button, and then move your cursor to PROGRAMS. Under the PROGRAMS listed, you will find the UISCfg link. Double click this icon to start the HTM interface.

Because the program is an OCX file you will see a warning about possible unsafe OCX
OCX programs. After replying YES, a second screen will then appear that displays all
the adapter cards that were discovered by the driver. By clicking on the individual
adapter links, specific disk configuration layouts are displayed. Specific disk
information can be acquired by selecting a specific device, and further adapter
information can be acquired by selecting one of the Loop links.

Status information provided on individual pages is automatically updated every 15
seconds. The refresh timer is currently not user settable. The refresh will only
occur on screens where the Select Function is visable, and the word STATUS is
present.

Remote (network) configuration management is also available via the I2OCGI.EXE
program available with this release. This program runs in conjunction with IIS,
and can be used to provide the same administration capabilities as the local
configurator. When using the I2OCGI.EXE interface, it is strongly recommended that
you place the file under the INETPUB directory in a secure folder, and only access
via a "execute only" ISS share.

More detailed information can be obtained when using the online HELP button or by
referencing the Unisys e-@ction Intelligent Fibre Channel Adapter Adminstration Guide.

Troubleshooting

During some Windows installations, it has been reported that the UISCfg link is not
visable when logged under the administrator usercode. This is a result of the LNK file being
installed into Default Users profile instead of the Administrator profile under Documents and
Settings. To correct this simply locate the UISCfg link under

	\\Documents and Settings\Default User\Start Menu\Programs

and copy (or move) it to

	\\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Start Menu\Programs

Logging Levels

Below is a list of the log levels supported by the product when logging to the
system event log. The log level can be changed using the registry key :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\SERVICES\I2OUBBS\PARAMETERS\LOGLEVEL

   LOG_NONE (0) - No logging is performed
LOG_NORMAL (1) - Minimal logging is performed (No IOErrors)
   LOG_IOERRORS (2) - All IOErrors are logged
   LOG_VERBOSE (3) - Detailed logging is performed

The default logging level is LOG_IOERRORS (2). This is the minimal level that should
be used when submitting a user report.

When reporting any issue related to the adapter, please include the following :
1) Detailed description of problem.
2) Levels of all applicable hardware and software.
3) Drawing/diagram of disk subsystem.
4) Configuration parameters.
